I’ve so many feelings about Singapore this message went through many rounds of editing! For a start, I’m still trying to keep up with the burgeoning pulse of this city that is equal parts beautiful and stressful, plentiful and flavourful. I love that I can walk down to the hawker centre at 11pm and still be able to enjoy a bowl of fish porridge or hot double-boiled soup.
Say “chicken rice” and strangers become friends over passionate discussions on where’s the best. That’s my Singapore! This month, let’s soup up these familiar local tastes of old with our signature spins of new. Happy 57th birthday, dear Singapore!
